W1, W2, 606, 606S, M13 & Kings School Service Disruption

Starting Monday 11th June 2018 For Approximately 13 Weeks B4632 Cleeve Hill Slip Stabilisation Works:

Gloucestershire County Council will be carrying out essential maintenance work to stabilise the B4632 on Cleeve Hill, starting on 11th June 2018 for approximately 13 weeks.

The carriageway opposite Lye Lane has been the subject of ongoing slippage for some time, showing gradual but steady movement since monitoring devices were installed in 2016.

Work will consist of excavating a trench in the road then installing 12m long piles and casting a concrete beam along the top. This will support the carriageway and prevent future slippage. New drainage kerbs will also be installed and then the road will be rebuilt and resurfaced.

Marchants would like to apologise in advance for any delays that maybe experienced during these works, albeit beyond our control.
