Historic towns, great scenery, the City of Edinburgh, The Palace of Holyroodhouse & the Falkirk Wheel. A tour full of everything that the borders have to offer.

Day 1:

We depart Gloucestershire and travel north with comfort stops en-route to our hotel in Biggar

Day 2:

Today look at industrial Scotland with a trip to the New Lanark World Heritage Site, followed by a tour of the Falkirk Wheel, the worlds only rotating boat lift (ride included)

Day 3:

It’s a full Edinburgh day today. We begin with a visit to the Queens official residence in Scotland, The Palace of Holyroodhouse, with magnificent royal apartments followed by a free afternoon in the city.

 

Day 4:

Today we take a scenic drive around the Tweedsmuir Hills to look at a series of traditional towns and villages, many with ancient Abbeys such as Peebles, Selkirk and Melrose and maybe a stop in 17th century spa town of Moffat, famous for toffee and a favourite haunt of Robert Burns.

Day 5:

After our final breakfast we return to Gloucestershire, with a comfort stop en-route and arrive late afternoon.
