Channel Islands Experience
Lying some 14 miles off the French coast, the Channel Islands are much nearer to France than they are to Britain. Yet the islands were never owned by France. They once belonged to William, Duke of Normandy, and as it was he who conquered England the islanders claim that England is part of the Channel Islands, not the other way round. This year we have a number of dates available so whatever time of the year you will find a date to suit your needs. Holiday supplied in conjunction with Condor Ferries and Modern Holidays
Day 1:
We depart Gloucestershire and make our way to join the Condor Ferry for your journey to Jersey. When you arrive you will be met by our Modern Holidays representative on the island who will arrange transport to the hotel.
Day 2 -7:
During your stay you will have ample free time to explore and there will be local excursions to places of interest available through our Modern Holidays representative.
Day 8:
After your last breakfast our Modern Holidays representative will make the arrangements for you and your luggage to meet the Condor Ferry for your journey back to the mainland where our coach will be waiting to take you back to Gloucestershire.

5th August includes seating for the Battle of the Flowers Festival
9th September includes the Battle of Britain Celebrations

Jersey - The Mayfair Hotel
The hotel is well situated in St Helier just a few minutes walk from the shops and a ten minute stroll from Harve de Pas. All the rooms are en-suite with modern facilities. Amenities at the hotel include a bar & restaurant, coffee shop, swimming pool, gymnasium, sun terrace and a lift to all floors.
Guernsey - The Peninsula Hotel
The name ‘Peninsula’ stems from the location of the hotel on a small peninsula with a wonderful view over Grand Havre Bay from the front of the hotel and a lovely sheltered Guernsey beach at the edge of 5 acres of private landscaped gardens

Due to there being no health agreement between Jersey and the mainland, normal travel insurance will NOT cover medical costs on the island. Passengers should check their policies and where necessary take out separate medical insurance that covers Jersey.
For Health and Safety reasons we have in place a weight restriction on luggage of 23Kg and passengers wishing to travel are asked to keep all baggage under this weight. Extra luggage labels are available from our booking office on request.
