Criccieth
‘Castles, Trains & Gardens of Wales’
Criccieth – “The Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia”. With scenery that rivals those found anywhere in the world, an abundance of history and two peaceful beaches, the town of Criccieth is the best place to relax and take in magnificent sights in Wales. This tour makes the most of our time sampling different towns, scenery and visitor attractions such as the little trains of Wales that many will admire.
Day 1:
After departing Gloucestershire, we make our way north-west towards beautiful Wales with a comfort break en-route. We should arrive at the Lion Hotel (winner of ‘Best Business in Bloom’) in time for our evening meal.
Day 2:
On day two we shall join the Welsh Highland Railway (subject to availability, the cost is included in the tour), and travel through the Welsh countryside to Beddgelert where you will rejoin the coach for lunch at the beautiful town of Betws-y-Coed.
Day 3:
On day three, we leave the hotel and visit the morning market in Pwllheli before returning to Criccieth and spending the afternoon exploring the town and craft shops.
Day 4:
Today we travel north to the Isle of Anglesey. First stop at Llanfairpwllgwyngyligogerychwyrndrobwliliantysiliogogogoch, for coffee at the Pringle Woollen Mill. We then travel to Beaumaris for lunch and in the afternoon enjoy an inclusive visit to the enchanting castle. On the return journey we will have a short visit to Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle overlooking the harbour, before arriving back at the hotel for our evening meal.
Day 5:
After our final breakfast at the Lion Hotel, we complete our holiday in Criccieth and make our way home to Gloucestershire to arrive in the afternoon.

This 1731 Olde Inn which has been tastefully developed into the hotel it is today, and is situated on the Criccieth Village Green, commanding magnificent views of Cardigan Bay. All rooms are en-suite with TV, radio, alarm clock, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.
