Singles Break
Over the years we have noted an increase in the demand for single rooms on our tours, and with this in mind we have arranged this short midweek break at The Old Swan Hotel Harrogate. We have booked the whole hotel as single rooms but should couples wish to go they will be most welcome. During your stay there will be an excursion to York and free time in Harrogate.
The Old Swan Hotel is one of the most famous in Harrogate with a history that goes back nearly 200 years. Set in 5 acres of peaceful gardens it combines Victorian splendour with contemporary luxury. The tour is on a Half Board Basis.
Day 1:
We depart Gloucestershire and make our way to Harrogate with suitable comfort stops en-route and check in to the hotel with time to relax before your evening meal.
Day 2:
We depart after breakfast and travel to York for a half day excursion followed by a few hours in Harrogate itself, before returning to the hotel for your evening meal.
Day 3:
We depart after breakfast and return, with a suitable lunch and comfort stop en-route, to Gloucestershire, arriving late afternoon.

The Old Swan Hotel
Set in over 5 acres of private gardens, The Old Swan was once the famous retreat of Agatha Christie. It offers modern rooms with en suite facilities, and free on-site parking.
Originally an 18th-century coaching inn, it now features rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV and trouser press. Some also have a stand-alone bath and views over the garden.
The traditional Swan Lounge and Bar offers a selection of beverages and afternoon teas, while the Wedgewood and Library restaurants serve fresh, locally sourced dishes.
The Old Swan was home to Agatha Christie during her disappearance in 1926, and has since been used as a film set for the 1977 film, Agatha.
Just a short walk from Harrogate town centre, the building is 5 minutes’ walk from the famous Betty’s Tearoom and 15 minutes from Harrogate Railway Station.
