Llanberis & Camarthen
‘Grand Tour of Wales’
With this tour we will explore the rugged mountainous north plus visit the scenic and poetic south of Wales. During this tour you will have inclusive visits to Bodnant Gardens, the Top of Snowden, National Botanic Gardens of Wales and Cardiff Castle.
Day 1:
We depart from Gloucestershire and with suitable comfort stops en-route make our way to the first of our hotels at Llanberris in time to relax before our evening meal.
Day 2:
Today we embark on a regional tour of the Snowdonia countryside. Crossing the spectacular passes between the mountain summits we visit picturesque Betws-y-Coed for a short stop then onward to the first of our inclusive visits at Bodnant Gardens situated in 80 acres of western slopes above Conwy. From here we travel to Anglesey and the town with the longest named station. From here we visit Caernarfon, with its magnificent Castle on the harbour side.
Day 3:
Free day in Llanberris, with an inclusive journey on the railway opposite the hotel to the top of the mountain. Your driver will advise you of boarding times etc.
Day 4:
Today we leave Llanberis and make our way to our 2nd hotel in Carmarthen via a scenic coastal drive with a lunch stop in Aberystwyth.
Day 5:
Today we visit the resort of Tenby with its walled town centre, narrow streets, shops and markets and stunning beaches. We then travel to St Davids to visit the smallest city in Wales.
Day 6:
Today we visit The National Botanic Garden of Wales (entrance included) with its famous centrepiece The Great Glasshouse.
Day 7:
On our final day we depart the hotel and make our way to Cardiff for your inclusive visit to Cardiff Castle and have a little free time to have a look at this vibrant capital before rejoining the coach and making our way home.
