Volendam
Edam and Amsterdam
- 4 Days
Traditional houses, canals, the harbour and drawbridges all combine to make Volendam one of Holland’s most picturesque towns. Its position, only a few steps from the old fishing port, shops, restaurants and cafes, makes the historic hotel a wonderful retreat.
Day 1:
Travelling from Dover to Calais on the Eurotunnel, we pass through France and Belgium arriving in Holland for our evening meal.
Day 2 - 3:
During our holiday in Holland we have included one full day excursion to Amsterdam and a full day to Edam and the Bulb Fields. Amsterdam is well known for being Holland’s cosmopolitan capital. We recommend that you see the Dam Square, visit one of Amsterdam’s world class museums or even just wander along the canal side streets.
Day 4:
Time permitting, on our return to Gloucestershire, we will make a stop for some shopping at Calais before taking the Channel Tunnel back to the UK. With suitable rest stops en-route we hope to arrive back in Gloucestershire during the early evening. Passports and travel insurance required on this tour.
