The Yorkshire Experience 5 Days
Day 1:
We depart Gloucestershire and travel northeast, with a lunch stop en-route, and on arrival at our hotel you will enjoy afternoon tea while your luggage is taken to your rooms. You will be free then to familiarise yourself with the hotel or perhaps take a stroll to the River Wharf, before your superb three-course dinner, then relax in the bar.
Day 2:
After breakfast we travel to your day out in York. Enjoy the many attractions this delightful city has to offer including the Minster, the Jorvick Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum to name but a few. Don’t forget to take a stroll down the famous Shambles and visit the shops. Evening entertainment after your three-course dinner.
Day 3:
After breakfast we journey first to Harrogate and find time for lunch in this stunning spa town, before moving on to Knaresborough, famous for ‘Mother Shiptons Cave’. We return to the hotel in time for our evening meal.
Day 4:
Spend this morning at the Royal Armouries, Britain's oldest national museum, and one of the oldest museums in the world. Then travel across to Harewood House, home to the Queens cousin, the Earl of Harewood, explore the house, with its outstanding art collection, splendid State Rooms and fascinating ‘Below Stairs’ exhibition. We return to the hotel for the Yorkshire themed dinner and Quiz night with prizes.
Day 5:
After breakfast we board the coach and make our way, with a lunch stop, back to Gloucestershire arriving late afternoon.
