This road closure is required for Utility Repair and Maintenance Works by Severn Trent Water

 

During this period of work the following bus stops cannot be served:

 

• Hatherley Road (Coombe Glen Lane) AM - 08:08

• Hatherley Road (Shops) PM - 16:04

 

Your closest bus stop will be Cold Pool Lane (Hatherley Village Hall) for both directions

 

• Reddings Road (Leyson Road) AM – 08:12 & PM - 16:04

 

Your closest bus stop will be the stop on Grovefield Way (Redding’s Road)  

 

 

AM Diversionary Route:

After departing Morrisons the service will turn right off Up Hatherley Way into The Poplars, left into Greatfield Lane, continuing into Coombe Glen Lane, at the junction it will turn left into Hatherley Road continuing in to Cold Pool Lane, at the roundabout it will take the 3^rd exit on to Cold Pool Lane and then continue into Grovefield Way to resume the normal route.

 

PM Diversionary Route:

The service will instead of taking the first exit onto The Reddings it will take the 2^nd exit continuing Grovefield Way Cold Pool Lane, Hatherley Road, Coombe Glen Lane, The Poplars, Up Hatherley Way to then resume normal route.

Service changes from September 2026

 

We would like to reassure parents/carers that the M11 service will continue to operate as normal for Pate's Grammar School pupils. 

 

An improved service will include new stops located on, London Road, (Spring Lane, Stagecoach Bus Depot, Brewery Lane), and the Ship Inn on Brimscombe Hill.

We have had to make the very difficult decision to withdraw the combined M11/M12 services to Sir Thomas Rich's School only, at the end of the current school year due to low patronage & increased operational costs.

 

We have been in discussions with Robb’s Executive Travel who are proposing a new service for Sir Thomas Rich’s School pupils from the Stroud area.

PM: The service will do a U-turn at The Shutters Inn and come back on yourself. Follow the road onto A435 continue along to Sunrise Ave to resume normal route.

 

During this period of work the following bus stops cannot be served:

08:11 & 15:39 Vale Road (opposite Sapperton Drive)

08:14 & 15:36 Cleeve Road (Gotherington Post Office)

We have been advised of the following road closure by Severn Trent Water for Utility Repair and Maintenance Works.

Road closed from:

Monday 29/06/26

 

Road closed until:

Diversionary Route:

 

AM M19 Buses will travel along the B4077, turn right onto the B4078, right onto Littleworth Lane, right back onto Gretton Road then travel along to Church Row (Christ Church) bus stop where the bus will perform a reversing manoeuvre into Stanley Cottages.

 

PM M19 Buses will travel normal route to Church Row (Christ Church) bus stop then reverse into Stanley Cottages travel back along Gretton Road turn left into Littleworth Lane, Left onto B4078, continue to B4077, turn left to join the normal route.

 

During this period of work the following bus stops cannot be served: 

 

08:24 & 15:22 Alderton Road (Sunrise Nurseries)

 

08:25 & 15:24 Alderton Road (Opposite Gilders Transport Yard)
